"If heaven doesn't have granola as good as yours, then I'd rather go to Blue Gateways B&B when I die"

"Our first B&B together. We'll always consider it a home away from home"

"Our stay here has been pleasurable, your hospitality wonderful. Your B&B exudes charm and grace, even Bob Villa would be proud of this old house!"

"With all the natural treasures in Wellfleet, I didn't expect the most beautiful part to be the B&B. Thank you for your lovely hospitality. The bread is to die for. See you again down the road."

"Good things come in small packages", a Cape Cod mariner once wrote in my autograph album when I was 8, and for Blue Gateways, the saying should go "good things are made wonderful by
the small details". Thank you for each and every one! "

"The loveliest house I've ever stayed in during my approximately 20 years of coming to Wellfleet."
Richard Hughes
"We really enjoyed staying in this beautifully renovated house, eating the best breakfast, sleeping in the best bed and having good cookies."

"Thank you for making our first B&B or "B&R" such a wonderful experience!! Your home is lovely but it's your warm and caring personalities that we'll remember most!"

"Wellfleet's
BLUE GATEWAYS BED AND BREAKFAST (349-7530) dates back to early 1700's and
is included in the Historic Register of Homes. While recent renovations
have provided airy modern space, its antique charm is retained in interesting
furnishings and lovely gardens. The year-round innkeepers, Bonnie and Richard
Robicheau, tenaciously maintain the inn's intimate size to assure ultimate
comfort and elegance. "

BLUE
GATEWAYS (508-349-7530; www.bluegateways.com), 252 Main St. In 1996, Bonnie
and Richard Robicheau opened what Wellfleet had previously lacked: a comfortable,
cheery, completely refurbished B&B in the middle of town. Since Richard
is a builder, the house has been expertly renovated, right down to latch
doors and sanded floors. The three crisp guest rooms share an upstairs
reading room and a downstairs TV room, complete with one of the house's
three working fireplaces. An expanded continental breakfast is served on
the light sun porch, overlooking the little reflecting pool (a great place
for a second cup of coffee). Bonnie obviously enjoys taking care of people. |
